1 8inch driver...will it be enough?

im thinking of doing 1 9kv.2 in a .5 ported box tuned to around 30hz (behind the seat of my standard cab truck in a fiberglassed enclosure) clean...simple....i listen to mostly rock and mild rap...looking for SQ only...just wanting to feel the kick drum a little bit....will this be enough for me?

i have VERYYYYYY limited space haha i chose the 9kv.2 because of the low mounting depth...required box .5 ported and the 11kv.2 is to deep for me

If all you want is a little kick, that 8 MIGHT be able to give it to ya, but I think eventually you'll want more. It won't be able to get very low at all, and as for SPL, it will leave much to be desired...

In a properly designed enclosure, one 8" driver will suit your tastes fine

95 ford ranger standard cab, i've had many systems in this truck....and all were 2 10s or 1 10...and it was to much for what i want in this truck

Well, if it's SQ you want, I'd get 2 of them and put 'em in a sealed box. Should be perfect.

If your truck is well-deadened, you could get away with 1 8" ported. It's mainly going to depend on your preference. For SQ purposes, I'd probably go with 2 8"s sealed, which should do fine in ~.6cuft.

Ok, looking at your sig, I notice you have a set of comps and an amp to match. You mean to tell me that was getting overpowered by one ten? I have a Kenwood HU powering two Type S coaxials, to go with two 10's, and it blends well. I'd even upgrade if I had the space.

Alright then, I guess the single 8 would work well for you then, just get some pics or a video when you finifh the job and show us how it turned out.
