08 Silverado Factory Deck Removal?

onstar is standard on all GM cars, but i definitely didn't want the bose. i'm just looking for a way to give me a little more bass at a low cost. i don't really trust best buy or circuit city with my new truck, but it wouldn't be worth it to take it to a nice place because i'm not going to spend enough money on the system itself.

the woodgrain or brushed aluminum panel around the radio pops off but be careful the clips that hold it in are extremely tight....work your way over to one side from the top middle as there is no clip there. And do not use a flat blade screwdriver for this task as i guarantee you will break something....use a wide plastic pry tool or stiff plastic putty knife

i messed with it, but the only part i could get to work its way off was the huge bezel around everything even the middle air vents. i just went ahead and popped it back in because i was scared of breaking the plastic.
