i drive an 08 civic si coupe, i have been ****in w my head unit forever and finailly got it to power on (i blew a fuse labeled "backup" which was why it took so long) but now it says its playing, play timer counting but no sound, played with volume, nothing, ipods plugged in, everything... the unit is an alpine ida x100

if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated, anything i can double check? wiring should be good as this is not my first HU instalation but it is First for this car.

amp turn on wire? u gotta hook the remote from ur radio to turn on wire/power antenna wire in harness.

ur oem amp isnt turning on. i can only assume u have an OEM amp havent look at any schematics yet but if u dbl check turn on wire i can check some schematics

First off you have on sweet and bad *** ride. Second if you are using the receiver with an external amplifier you have to run the blue wire with a white stripe to the amplifier to tell it to power on.

If you are not using an external amp go into your settings of your receiver and go to were it should say like P-IC or something like that, that us your internal amp make sure that is turned on. If after checking that still no sound than you need to check your wires.

thank you! so i know there is an amplifier clip that hooks into the back of the stock stereo, and the clip has a wire that is blue and white... is it safe to assume that i can go thru that and hook it up that way?

AIM'ed ya, Okay here is what i got there is a wiring harness you need to get that bypasses the factory amplifier that is the only way you can use an after-market head unit the thing that sucks is by doing this the factory sub will no longer work you would need a small amp for that.

No Problem Man
