OK, so i have finally got the time and its finally warm enough to do some fiberglass work. so I am starting to build my door pods for my 6 1/2 ID CX 62's, for the time being they are just going to be my mid bass and mid range speakers. starting today hopefully i will be able to finish by Sunday, hopefully that is. pictures will come momentarily.

four plastic ring spacers i nearly stole from Circuit City's going out of business

popping out the plastic rivets for the trim ring, thought id keep it incase i wanted to sell the car and make shift a new speaker cover lol

taking it out haha i was debating on weather or not i really wanted to ruin my panels

gettin em taped up ready for glass

i used the two spacers on each pod to get depth so my pods wont be so big

aluminum tape is a wonderful thing when fiber glassing

Resin, Glass, Brushes, Gloves, Hardener, and Bondo Hair for filling Gaps later on

looking good, now just waiting for them to dry while i cut out my mounting rings

OK, so i got the rings mounted and wrapped with some cloth, i mounted them high on the base because i wanted to have room for 6 1/2'swith a bigger magnet if i do decide to get new ones later on also to have plenty of leg room around them, should have them glassed by tomorrow. not sure on weather im gonna wrap em vinyl or paint them. most likely wrap em in vinyl but well see what happens when i get to that point,

they were a b**** to get off, def should have thought out the taping process

should have worn a mask,

before and after, the 62's didnt fit in the rings so i had to mod them

i was thinking to grind it down and paint all of it except the center bars, but i dont know if i wanna go through the trouble of doing that.

you could just paint those fosgate grills? just a thought, and really nice work, how did you like that aluminum tape for marking up a place to fiberglass?
