Question...are those ports better than square ports?

i like them a ton better.

if you flip the port around so it sticks out the the box, its louder, but less clean looking.

ive had extensive play with all three of these woofers.

(sondy's Type R and solo X and then Ben's L7)

its really tought to say...all were in different boxes, different cars and different power.

out of the 3...

the type R was the loudest.

the solo X was 2nd loudest

the L7 is the best all around setup out of the three IMO.

Absolutely a big nothing. One is square, and one is circle...

Aero ports are 'adjustable' per say though... If you wanted to change the tuning of the box you could essentially just cut or lengthen the tubes. With square ports you're pretty much at the 'set' tuning because it's hard to change the length once it's installed.

aero ports generally have less port noise, are easily adjustable for tuning, and are all around easier to work with.

I have 2 of the new l7 15s coming in on thursday. We will truely see if they are up to the task of 2000+ daily on each when my amp arrives:naughty:

WTF...where did it say that the new L7s will handle 2,000rms for daily?

Tracey told me he has some guys running 2 1200.1s to each of the new ones, so I figured why dont I give it a shot. He said they should be okay as I remember.
