never thought a type r would get louder than a Solo X............guess it really is all about the install.

I just read that as well. When a solo x is overshadowed by a type r, something is either very wrong, or very, VERY right with the r.

ha... nice. i was thinking of an S8L7 again, what do you think? are the new subwoofers really that different than the older ones??? 2003 series i think? if they are so much better, i might just get one.

ive had extensive play with all three of these woofers.(sondy's Type R and solo X and then Ben's L7)

its really tought to say...all were in different boxes, different cars and different power.

out of the 3...

the type R was the loudest.

the solo X was 2nd loudest

the L7 is the best all around setup out of the three IMO.
