aero ports generally have less port noise, are easily adjustable for tuning, and are all around easier to work with.

ive had extensive play with all three of these woofers.(sondy's Type R and solo X and then Ben's L7)

its really tought to say...all were in different boxes, different cars and different power.

out of the 3...

the type R was the loudest.

the solo X was 2nd loudest

the L7 is the best all around setup out of the three IMO.

I always thought L7's would be a lot louder than a type R..no?

Hey, I just built a box much like that this weekend. I was gonna go with 3 ports but could only fit 2 in. 4.5 cubes tuned to 35 hz. Haven't gotten to hear it yet though, it's for a friend and I haen't been able to get a hold of him.
