06 hifonics vs 08 hifonics

does anyone know if there is a major difference between the two model years i guess you can call it? im looking at the 2008d and i can get a 2006d for about 100 bucks cheaper. so im wondering if it is worth going with the 08 for the 100 dollars. thanks.

I will never buy a hifonics....too many problems....I'd suggest to save for a more reliable amp

one is black and the other is not ahahha. im like thinking the same thing today. keep looking to see what other amps are out there. if your gona run that amp at 1 ohm like me we gota see how that amp will hold up at 1 ohm . over heating issues mayb?

my bro didnt have any issues running my bxi at 1 ohm. ran jus fine actually never got hott..

i think they will do fine as long as we do not run it lower than one ohm. i mean its rated to one ohm so id hope that it will do the job at 1 ohm.

what kind of problems did you have and what model?

Well I have seen several models....the 2006 model b1600 or whatever it was always had protection probs. I have encountered 4 hifonics amps and not impressed with any of them. Plus they won't do rated atleast at normal voltage.

Sure they are cheap but I would spend your money in better ways. Either get an xx model, or an old school hifonics...otherwise I would stay away.

ya I was look for some under 200 that can talk allot of power. and i found them on craigslist for 160 bucks. for the pair so i picked them up, and the guy who had them before me only used them for 1 month.
