Kinda Old School
So I'm thinking somewhere around a 200 amp alt, a batcap and a couple of batteries just for good measure

Keeping factory radio - stupid but it's toom uch of a pain to take it out

For sure

Nine.4 pushing two sets of Alpine Type R Comps, wanna get significantly loud with decent clarity

Nine.1 for a sub amp

Questions

What sub(s), either two sealed 15's or one ported, I'm thinking about two sealed CVX 15's or a single ported AudioQue HD 15, not really sure. Also contemplating Si Mags and the XXX

Would a line driver help? Just want some opinions

The two amps and the components I'm set on fairly well, just help with the rest.

Thanks

Ryan

I Don't think you can find a 200 amp alt for your car just yet. It's better to have a pair of high end components rather than having two pairs of mediocre components. With that said, go for some high end components pushed by a Nine.2 or Nine.2x. I would pair the Nine.1 with a single 15" SI Mag. Let's not forget the alarm, which should be the first thing you install, and save money for good wires and sound deadener.

Good advice. I would do a good deck as well. Makes a big difference in my expericene anyway. I would also get some better componets to match those big name subs. Why skimp on the componets and get some sweet subs?

I understand where you're coming from, but you've also got to keep in mind I'm trying to stay within a budget, and although I could afford some better stuff I just dont want to put it out.

The Type R Comps dont sound horrid, and they get pretty **** loud in my experience, they're just a cheap way to get out of it with a decent sound

I'm going from a 4002 on a set of DLS MS6's and a kx400.1 on a 12w6v2 ported and a 680 premier deck to this(Mustang was old car) so I'm trying to figure out what to do, I want a little more umph than the 12w6 had to offer

Also considered doing three 13w6v2's sealed or something along those lines, but once again I'd be out of my budget

You think the Nine.4 and two sets of R's is bad, do me a favor and tell me why'?

Also - you said high end components, give me an example of what gets loud

I was considering grabbing up a 850.4 Kicker, which would give me 175x4 at 4 IIRC

I could do that and a 1000.1 or equivalent

There are all kinds of good high end componets and all of them are lound hence the high end tag. But you said you had a budget, so tell us what it is and we can help you out better. There are better speakers for a little more or right around a type R componet set. Hell get some cheaper MB Quarts that can be had for around 120 bucks and they will sound better than those type R's. Better yet I have a set of Alpine type X's I would sell to ya if interested. Size 5.25". PM me if interested.
