Maybe he's not done yet:crazy:This is NOT a build log. It is just pics of completed work...
So wrong section...
yea, im not done yet, this is just what i was able to conjure up and I dont have time for show and tell. I work too much to be taking step by step pics. ...i will take some more pics once i pick up the subs and box, and when I finish the false floor and battery holders.Maybe he's not done yet:crazy:
haha. i grinded down my paint and grounded using the bolts from the back seats....amp and batteries grounded separately. behind the trim panel I have 2 distribution blocks, one for ground and one for power, 0ga to 4 ga reducers, and my inline fuse holders. Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I'm always in the market for a AQ2200d, I may just buy one from DJ soon. Yah our setups are pretty similar, how do you have the grounds for the amp, from front battery to back or chassis ground? And maybe we could meet somewhere in the mid-west and I could show you a thing or two about a thing or two //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif jk.
hmm. i will try doing comparative testing once i have the subs in...Thanks.Sweet! If you ever want to try it try just running wire from the front battery to the back and from the back battery to the amp for both power and ground. I did it the way you're doing it for a long time then switched it up on this last setup and the voltage drop was significantly less, could also be because of the batcaps but I think the wiring had a lot to do with it. Just something to think about..
Right that's it exactly. The big 3 is just upgraded power and grounds under the hood, it has nothig to do with the back wiring. What do you have done under the hood? In mine I did: batt. To chassis, batt. To engine block, batt. Pos. To alternator and alternator neg. To frame all in 0 gauge. Basically a big 4hmm. i will try doing comparative testing once i have the subs in...Thanks.
so negative front battery to negative on back batteries to ground on amp, and power from front battery to power on back batteries to power on amp.
Sound right?
Basically no grounds in the back and grounds up front to chassis.
basically I think you did the big three and didnt know it. lol.
maybe that can explain your good voltage? and I got nothing goin on under the hood just yet. hoping to pick up a kinitek 2400 or something.Right that's it exactly. what kinda 1200 watt amp. maybe the sundown is more efficient, it could be the batcaps, or it could be the wiring. It could be many factors. More than likely tho I will be attempting the big 4 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gifI'm sure it does but I had my old way done with a 1200 watt amp and I had some pretty good voltage drop then I tried the new way with the 1500D and the voltage drop is significanty better. Just my own experience though.
WRONG! ur gonna pick up one of my batteries which is equal to a kinetik 3800, then ur gonna pp me the money, then i will ship it to u, then u will hook it up and be amazed at how 1 battery can help u a ton! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gifmaybe that can explain your good voltage? and I got nothing goin on under the hood just yet. hoping to pick up a kinitek 2400 or something.
how much, but your in CA..so shippin is gonna be a bish.WRONG! ur gonna pick up one of my batteries which is equal to a kinetik 3800, then ur gonna pp me the money, then i will ship it to u, then u will hook it up and be amazed at how 1 battery can help u a ton! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif
