04 mercury mountaineer premier never had this wiring set up

So I have an 04 mercury mountaineer premier with the built in amp and sub i have never tried installing an aftermarket amp and sub into a system like this I tried wiring from the factory HU to an loc to amp then to sub but I'm just not getting the sound I was expecting what if I un hooked factory amp and tied into those wires and then went to my amp would that help?

Did you hook the loc up to the wires that went to the factory sub ? Also what amp are you using ?

I'm using an rzr1-2500d by Power Acoustik for the time being it's a mono amp and I tied into the rear door speakers
