01 Jeep Grand Cherokee: NEED HELP installing headunit

You are such as **** noob with all these jeep help threads. just install the **** head unit, its soo easy just match color to color and then whenever you get components and a front stage amp bypass the amp by taking out the two harness on the infinity amp under the rear seat( passenger side on an '04).
theres NO big need or reason to bypass the factory amp when you are gonna use stock door speakers anyways. It won't yeild much difference in sound going from the Head unit straight to the speakers instead of stopping at the factory amp first with stock door speakers, thats just a waste of time. just install the Head unit for now running to the factory amp and later get comps asap and an amp for them. then problem solved and you would hear a difference.

god dam its all common sense.

hmmm actually no its not common sense...You know shit but your still an ***

does anyone know how many watts the factory infinity amp puts out? looking to upgrade but i want more power so it would be nice to know what it allready has, thanks

just get the standard wire harness from best buy or circuit city or any shop for that matter match the colors to the wire harness from the aftermarket radio and make sure to hook up the blue/white wire (amp turn on) you will be intergrating the factory amp this way maby not ideal but it will be the easiest way. if your using the stock speakers factory amp will be fine.

Keeping my Infinity Gold speakers/tweeters/ampso to install my headunit I "bypass" the amp???

"simply cutting the plugs off and splicing the correct wires together. It works something like this: The amp LF+ goes to LF+, amp LF- to LF- and so forth."

is that info correct?

So how long was it before you had to replace all of the speakers in the car? Maybe mine were just going bad, but when I put in my radio on my 300M, the whole right side started sounding shitty. I had to replace them all. Blew 3 of the tweeters too.

Oh and you can get that harness from Walmart for the cheap. CC and those stores want 20, BB has that for like 10 if that. Dash kit is cheaper there too.

Mine was tree fitty I think. That's peak though. I have a 2000 300M though. More than likely the same factory amp.

****, thats alot more than i would have thought, i have a 97 grand cherokee limited. the rear speakers were trashed when i bought the truck, so i replaced them with some cheap *** sonys until i get a new amp in there. i would like to put some nice comps in the front and then some coax. in the back doors.
