bypass the amp shitty fact xover points and no bass with headunit volume up

Keeping my Infinity Gold speakers/tweeters/amp

so to install my headunit I "bypass" the amp???

"simply cutting the plugs off and splicing the correct wires together. It works something like this: The amp LF+ goes to LF+, amp LF- to LF- and so forth."

is that info correct?

i would not cut anything i would get the factory amp bypass harness maybe 20 buck off ebay i paid, or unplug the amp harness and use t taps, the amp is about 3 ft from the radio so u are gonna have to extend the wires either way mine as well buy the plug and play harness

but is that what I should do...OR...should I do this...

Older models just used speaker-level inputs to the amps. If it's the same, just hook up the new head unit and you should be OK. If it's the newer fiber connections, you're screwed (but I don't think Chrysler is doing that yet). Just make sure your remote-turn-on wire from the head unit goes to the stock power antenna wire to tell the amps to turn on.

As for the fat sub and amp, they would be run direct from the new head unit's preamp outputs.

yes then just hook up the power and ground and i beleive the 01 has an acc wire i think its late 04 and up that have the canbus with no acc
ill check for ya
correct...no can bus in the older models
