i went to look at where to install my 0 gauge the other day and i was tipped off by one of my friends that runs a shop telling me theres a rubber gromet on the fire wall below passenger side dash. I looked at that gromet today and realised that its about 1 inch thick or more with it looked like a huge wire coming thru it already. My question is how do i get the 0 gauge through that and if not that then where and how im not that great of an installer but im trying to do this to save from haveing to pay a fortune for someone else to

cut the gromet just enough to slide your wire through....use a knife..just make sure you dont cut any wires..

ok what if there isnt enuf room for the 0 gauge and the wires that are already comeing through?

Then you will need to look for another suitable place to run it through.

Or, carefully drill through the firewall and install a grommet to protect the cable from rubbing and shorting against the chassis.
