Connecting LEDs

I am putting LEDs in my doors and want to run them all into one wire when they go out of the door, and then connect it to a switch. Each LED has a single wire for the pos and neg connections. Can I simply run a 12G wire into the door for the pos and one for neg and then just tap into each of the wires at different points or is there a better way?

since the wire leads that came attached are only 6CM long I dont think I will be able to get them all to meet at one single point. It would be like this.

I would suggest running the wire from the switch to the LED furthest away and wire it up. then connect each of the other LEDs with a T-tap or just strip the wire back and solder the connection working your way back towards the switch.
