0.5 ohm on a hifonics brx 6000d

Hello,

I have a hifonics brx6000d and two esx ve1222 subwoofers and i would like to wire them to 0.5ohm it's that possible?

Need to provide more info sir. Are the subs single or dual voice coils, are the 2,4,8 Ohm etc....

If you are asking this, You probably are no where near ready to wire at half ohm. Wire it in series parallel instead newbie.

FYI there is no 6000 brutus.

thats a bxi, OP says brx.

The guts of that "6K" or "3k"amp looks like a 1.8-2k at best.

seeing as no one on here has experience with that amp its hard to say what will happen

if you have this amp and dont really care run it at .5ohm as long as you can

if this is your only amp wire to 2 ohm and it will be decently loud as long as the rest of your install is up to par

make certain your voltage does not drop too low. If you can mount a volt meter to measure at the amp terminals that is helpful. anything below 11.0v is starting to get low for an amp. especially at .5ohm

i took my vvme amp into protect atleast 20 times a day (just didnt like being wired to .5) when it was installed and it still works fine

wow and I thought they overrate stuff in US.

My bad OP, i'd still wouldnt run it at 0.5 ohms unless you have proper electrical.

i have a friend running a brx2400 at .5 with good electrical. He doesnt drop below 12.7 not sure how long it will last.
