Help! Amplifier Overload!

Hello,
I come to you all out of desperation! No, I don’t have an amplifier that is overloading, rather my brain is on overload trying to decide what amplifier to buy for my car.
I have been on line for days and going down many rabbit holes.
I have a third gen Camaro with a stock delco radio/cassette with Bluetooth added internally with the 6x9’s in the sail panels and the 4x6’s in the dash. I have upgraded the speakers already. I do not wish to upgrade the head unit.
I have an “in spare tire” sub that I am very happy with. I am actually OK with the sound from the fronts and rears but when I turn the radio all the way up it’s got a bit of noise that gets old. You can hear it mostly between songs but it bothers me. I’m sure things would be better if I didn’t have to turn the volume of the head unit up so high.
So many amps I can’t make up my mind so I thought I would seek some advice.
Here is what I think would be best for me:
- around 100 watts per channel, need high level inputs
- would be great to have an rca out to feed the sub in the spare tire. (There would be no “input” to the amp for the sub. Currently I have the high level input to the sub tapped off the rear speakers.
- I have seen that some amps have built in blue tooth audio streaming. This would be a nice option. Can I assume that switching to this source would eliminate any noise injected by the head unit? I would stream 100% of the time.
I would like to keep it under $500.00 if possible. Any suggestions?

Might want to consider using a LOC to get all the options you are looking for. Don't recall a lot of multi-channel amps that are equipped with full-range channel outputs.

Lots of 4 channel amps that meet you spec for 100x4. This one from stinger is a nice amplifier, used it a couple of times and it's 150 x 4 at 4 ohms.

To be honest, especially with a factory head unit, you will not notice any differences in sound quality. It does sound like your are not looking for a ton of volume, just something loader than what you have now. Your 4x6 speakers more likely don't handle more than 45 watts, but your 6x9's probably handle more.

Here's one you can look at. It also has the pass-thru for adding additional amps, and the seamless Bluetooth connection.

Decent enough, good solution, decent spec, BT and passthrough to boot. PPI still hang'n around. Can't stand the look of those PC amps, just say'n.

Used a couple of those Ppi pc 4800.2's and Art series back in the day. Those 4800's doubled as car interior heaters in the winter, man they could heat up!

PPI were, and apparently still are, pretty durable. I honestly never knew why they were so sought after. They were never power monsters like the other brands, and still aren't. However, they are not made in China, so that is a bonus. I have used quite a few of them, over the past few years. I have a total of 3 PC1000.5D amps, a A1800.1D amp, and a A700.4D amp in mine and my kids personal vehicle. I also installed a few others in freinds and family's cars. Never had one go bad and no funky noises. They still don't produce what they state they do, but they are still within 90% of it, and at their price point, that pretty good.

I was reading up on their Atom subs and they have some impressive measurements. I might pick some up and try them out.
