Message: <blockquote data-quote="Old_Slapper" data-source="post: 8899317" data-attributes="member: 690458">PPI were, and apparently still are, pretty durable.  I honestly never knew why they were so sought after.  They were never power monsters like the other brands, and still aren't.  However, they are not made in China, so that is a bonus.  I have used quite a few of them, over the past few years.  I have a total of 3 PC1000.5D amps, a A1800.1D amp, and a A700.4D amp in mine and my kids personal vehicle.  I also installed a few others in freinds and family's cars.  Never had one go bad and no funky noises.  They still don't produce what they state they do, but they are still within 90% of it, and at their price point, that pretty good.  I was reading up on their Atom subs and they have some impressive measurements.  I might pick some up and try them out.</blockquote>
