I've never heard one, but the DC level 3's "model" better than my 10W6v2 and should fall toward the high end of your price range. Maybe someone that's heard a set can comment.

1400 watts RMS seems a bit optimistic for 2 w6's. I have a 500/1 on a single 10w6v2 and it sounds great. (ported/~30Hz) But I would expect blue smoke if I ran much more than 500 to it for any length of time.

Didn't know that was a storage area that stays closed. I thought the sub was sitting in a walkway that goes to the "living area" inside the boat itself. I figured it would work for people sitting inside and pretty well when everyone is outside and "on deck" (Unless the living area gets sealed up)

Our Magnum RT does that as a convenience feature. You may want to check your owner's manual to make sure you don't have that as a feature and just accidentally activated it.
