Fixed it..... it was a combination of EVERYTHING. The battery was dead, which then fried the alternator cuz it was trying to charge a dead battery. When I put the new alternator in, the car started, but died cuz the battery was dead. I bought an Optima Red Top, and everything went smooth. Then...

i3abyjay25 - I saw a rubber grommet that was about an inch and a half in diameter right where u're talking about.. but when i pulled it out, there was metal behind it. And I'm trying to run 4 gauge wire, but i do have some 8 gauge, either one will work, I just need to get it to the amp.
