People on ebay get it from the middle man, usually an authorized reseller. They take off the serials, then sell them off ebay. JL doesnt deal with warranty without the serial, therefore, it will cost you about 180 to send it to them for repair.

Did you check the remote wire if it's getting a constant 12v when you crank it up? Also check for loose wiring, bass boost and gain.

Nice diagram lol. I think if you took your time to draw that, you should be fine with the install. Everything looks good to me. If you wanna install the rear with the extra slot on the xover it should be fine. However I think you'll loose the fade option.
