People on ebay get it from the middle man, usually an authorized reseller. They take off the serials, then sell them off ebay. JL doesnt deal with warranty without the serial, therefore, it will cost you about 180 to send it to them for repair.

Doesnt audio stuff comes under comprehensive coverage? And I believe you have to pay for higher coverage as well. There are some insurance comapanies that does have like $1000 standard but anything over that is coming out your pocket. As least that's what I've been told.
