Another "Help Me" thread...need HU suggestions

So from the quick reading I've done on the ms8, would you take speaker outputs on the wiring harness for the receiver to the ms8 high level input, ms8 output to the input speaker wires for the PAC interface (link: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_541OS2GM32/PAC-OS2-GM32-Wiring-Interface.html)? Not...

Another "Help Me" thread...need HU suggestions

Like a lot of other posters I've seen lately, I'm also just getting back into car audio as I have recently acquired a 1991 Cadillac Deville DTS after totalling my Buick. Anyways, I'm going to be installing something double DIN, I was just curious if there are any HU's that can be flashed with a...

New (to me) Cadillac, New Questions! Haha

Hey all, first time posting in a while. Anyways I just bought a 2001 Cadillac Deville DTS and I have no clue where to start when figuring out how in the hell to replace the factory touchscreen nav system with a new radio. This is where my questions begin haha, pardon my ignorance,it's been a...

    Possibly fried my Audiopipe amp?

Hi all, long time no post :P I've been busy with school and such. I was cleaning out my trunk, and decided to take everything out. While I was looking at my box, I decided that I would mount my subs *** out to give them more airspace since they're in a crappy pre-fab box. Upon doing that, my...

How to get the right xovers?

Hey all, not too knowledgeable on component speakers or their amps AT ALL. I was wondering if you can get crossovers made to split the frequencies at the exact spot you want them? I have two SWR-1542D subs, and iirc, their cutoff is 400hz. Can I get a set of crossovers that go from...

Can an experienced person tell me why my radio does not work?

I see the problem. It's Dual. You should drop some cash for a real HU.

    Running power in a Buick

I have a 98 Buick Park Avenue, and I can't find a freakin' hole to run my 4g wire anywhere. I'm putting the system from my old Exploder into this new Buick, and it would be nice to know where I can run it, because I have searched and searched. If anyone has any install experience for a Park...

    trunk rattling

You seem to be a pretty nice dude. To OP: Try doing the Big 3 in 1/0, it may save you some money from upgrading your charging system.

    Trunk car ported boxes.

Oh gosh, I don't know. I really can't justify spending a lot of money on sealing my trunk if it's only like 1 or 2 db. I'm not a competitor, so that ****'s not important to me.

    Trunk car ported boxes.

I would be more than willing to seal my trunk off if it meant a substantial gain in deebeez. I'm running 1500 watts to the two type Rs. Idk, I guess I'll just design a box that's liek 5-6ft^3 after port displacement and bracing. Should I use 1" dowel rods to brace?

    Trunk car ported boxes.

That's something I'm not sure of. I'm gonna go take my max dimensions after I get off work, and start grinding some numbers tonight. I'm ok with the getting loud part, but I'm not with stuff such as sealing off my trunk, etc. I really don't need it to be as loud as it possibly can, because it's...

    Trunk car ported boxes.

Misfit! Thanks for the welcome back! Anywho, if I'm gonna seal off the trunk, I'm gonna need some help. If you text, you could pm me your number, and we could talk about it or something? If not, I can pm you my number or something. I have some designs flying around in my head right meow, so I...

    Trunk car ported boxes.

So, I have two Type Argh 15s, and they were installed in an Explorer, with a 8.0ft^3 box. I plan on using the same volume to install the subs in my new Buick Park Avenue. Should I do subs front, port front? Or maybe subs up port front? I really don't know what to do to a trunk car to make it...
