I had one a while back.my bass actually sounded way better without it . I would think that with good amps, HU and subs an epicenter is useless. that's just me though

Not saying that I didn't sound good, but I think that its a different tone to the ears that makes it sound different/better. My sister has a hyndai santa fe and all stock. it sounds clean

I think your best bet is to run get another similar amp(one per sub). meanwhile I would only run 1 sub fully powered , check how that sounds

YES, its always better to buy your own stuff. I used to buy car audio from the local crack heads for real cheap, somehow that **** would never last besides I didn't feel all that good knowing that I had stolen stuff. Now all my setup was bought by my hard earned money
