I think soldering is the way to go from the sandpoint that if done correctly there is no chance for the wire to come apart. Nothing worse than a two wires coming a part because of a bad crimp. Paul

Hi, I am also considering this, (i.e., building an enclosure for rear speakers). I imagine that a subwoofer (2 – 12’s) located in the trunk will cause problems with the speakers mounted in the rear deck (infinite baffle). Any thoughts? Paul

Thanks So the 2 - Orion C2 124 12 inch subwoofers that I now have, which I thought were dual 2 ohm voice coils, are (according to the Orions website) actually 2.8 ohm's. Depending on how I configure, my amp would see either a .7 ohm load or a 2.8 ohm load correct? Paul

2 - Orion C2 128 12 inch subwoofers have dual voice coils with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms each. If I run each subs voice coil in serial, each sub would see a 2 ohm load correct? Then if I run these to my amplifier parelell, I would get a 2 ohm load, correct? Thanks for your help, Paul

I have a set of Orion C2 124 - 12" subwoofers. I picked them up loacally (Mickey Shorr) for $29.00 a pair (Total = $58.00 + tax). I picked up a 1 cubic foot MTX sub enclosure for these PCs for $49.00 at Circuit City. Not a bad price $110.00 for an enclosre with two 12" subwoofers.
