i am currently running the clarion vrx935. awesome head unit, many many features, although the 911 is also a good unit, but more expensive.

right now im running stock alternator in a 97 grand am, with a optima yellow top, to a earthquake d2. my question is, if i upgrade to a 140 amp alternator, would there be a need for caps or are they as useless as i hear?

what about removing the 6x9s, building a baffle to hold 5.25s and using the extra room as the port? sound like it would be alrite, or just plain retardeD?

i have three barely used earthquake magma subwoofers, they are 12s and come with 3 slaps passive radiators. rms is 500 max is 1000. I had these subs running off a earthquake d2 and they sounded very nice while getting very loud. all im asking is 500$ even for all three, and ill split shipping...
