need help choosing the best way to wire my stuff

ok heres what i got,

earthquake phd2 and a older kenwood interior amp

now it says i need 4guage oin the phd2, but i know i dont need anything bigger then 8 guage on the kenwood amp. is there a way i can run 4 gauge from the battery back then to a distro to 8guage and 4 (do they make that) or what if i just ran 4guage and 8guage from battery back with two fuse holders?? thanks for advice in advance

well, thats kind of an open ended question....., you can do 2500rms@1ohm, or you can do a pair of 1k-1200rms@2ohms. just have to know the amp...
