    Speakers stopped, subs still work.

Man, I am somewhat new to all this car audio stuff, but ****... I just spent two hours dicking around with it. First I hooked up an old set of 6x9's to my amp, and the only thing that came out was bass. Then I tore out my HU and looked for anything suspicious, there was.. The ground cable...

Alright well today I was driving to the store and all of the sudden my 6x9's and my 6.5's stopped producing sound, and has been dead ever since. My subs in the back still work, and yes they are connected to an amp (Pioneer 760)... My HU still turns on and acts as if it is playing fine.... One...

    Need help!

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong place. Alright today after school I ran to the store and I was listening to some music, I wasn't pushing my system or anything it was around the usual "10" volume. So I come back from the store and I am heading home and all of the sudden my speakers...

    Sound of my bass.

Yes and it is, I have messed around with my HU settings a lot. What I'll do for now is put on my LPF and just deal with it. It still sounds alright but not as good as others, and this summer I'll look into starting from scratch. I guess the saying "You get what you pay for." is very applicable...

    Sound of my bass.

With my subwoofer output ,it is set at 80hz with +3 bass. (The options there are 50hz, 80hz, and 125hz and the bass settings range from -6 to +6)

    bass rattle...

I had the somewhat of the same problem when I first got my subs in. When I had my subwoof output on my 6x9's were still producing. What I did was I just disconnected my 6x9's and everything sounds just fine without them.

    Sound of my bass.

Haha none taken, I know they are pretty bad... Right now the LPF on my amp is off, and on my deck (Pioneer DEH-P4400) I have believe my EQ-Low is set as +2. (-6 to +6) is the range.

    Sound of my bass.

Alright, I have a problem... but not a big one. For the most part my bass/subs produce a pretty decent sound, but there is a problem. When I turn up songs with a lot of bass, my subs begin to sound really weird.. It produces a bass sound but it's a real strange sounding bass, it mainly happens...

    Setting Pioneer GM-X862 Gain

Sorry if this is a stupid question but.... I just read the 'Setting proper gain tutorial' and my proper gain is 22. I was wondering how to read my gain settings to set it at the proper level. Right now it is just set as what I think sounds the best, which is at about 75% or so.

    Pioneer DEH-4400

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am new to the car audio scene. My problem with this deck is it seems like I can't get it to set up right without having a good sounding bass and distortion to my 6x9's. I have messed with the frequency, bass, SLA, and trebble settings a lot. I can get...
