I am running 2 type r 12s on a jl 500 in a prefab. vented box (temporary) gets pretty loud and hits the low note good too. great subs for the price 160 online. still want to get d2s though, 300 each with shipping got to save some pennies.

I was planning on running a jl 500 to one 12" ed A and was told that it would move it but not reach it's potential so now the plan is to get an amp that will send it closer to 1200 like a tantrum or the avionixx 1200.1 soemthing along those lines anyways. good luck

I want to keep it in a sealed box I also plan on upgrading the amp to either avionixx 1200.1 (with possible second sub) or a pg tantrum but that will be down the road, any other amp ideas for this sub under $500, thanks for the input

if I put on ed A in a 1 cubic foot box would the jl 500/1 be enough on the sub to get it to its spl potential (when needed) just looking for someone that has seen this done because the type r that is in there now just isn't getting the job done anymore.
