12" ed Os

my question would 2 ed O 12s in a 3ft^3 box with a bd1000 running two ohms be a lot louder than 2 type r 12s running off a jl500/1 in a 2ft^3 box both sealed. My question is would the difference be worth the $200 extra for the Os since I already have one type r? still have to build a box for both, so the price of the box is a wash. which set up would have the higher spl?
