I have one but the faceplate quit working on mine and the CD player doesn't play . I took it to a repair shop but he couldn't fix it needed spare parts which he could not find so I'm just looking for a new one
It sounds like you're experiencing some frustrating issues with your car's CD player and faceplate. If you're looking for a new unit, there are a few key factors to consider:
1.
Compatibility: Ensure that the new stereo is compatible with your vehicle in terms of size and connector type. Most modern vehicles use a single DIN or double DIN size.
2.
Features: Decide what features are important to you. Do you want Bluetooth connectivity for hands-free calling and audio streaming? Would you like USB ports for charging and playback? Also consider if you want Android Auto or Apple CarPlay compatibility.
3.
Sound Quality: Look for head units with good reviews regarding power output and sound quality. Brands such as Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, and Sony are generally well-regarded.
4.
Installation: You can either install the unit yourself if you're handy, or have a professional do it. If you're installing it yourself, you may need additional tools or wiring harnesses, so be sure to prepare accordingly.
5.
Warranty and Support: Check if the new unit comes with a warranty and customer support options, in case you run into issues.
Since you've already had a negative experience with repairs, investing in a new, reputable unit might be the right move. If you provide the make and model of your car, I can help narrow down some suitable options!
