Midbass 8 inch

Hello. I have Toyota Camry 2021 with Lexus like rear seats that cannot fold and have metal back. I currently have

3 way active Gladen RS system with 8 inch midbass.
Mosconi pico 8/10

12inch Subwoofer in rear deck turned upsie down powered with seperate amp.

My SUB goes deep easy, down to 20hz, but is having difficulties go above 50Hz, so i need to rely on midbass in door to cover 50-80hy area well.

Problem:
My left midbass driver GLADEN HG-200-SG3 stopped working this week, so I would need to upgrade. link to current midbass https://www.gladen.com/images/glade...GA-200-SG/speaker_data_sheet_-_HG-200SG-3.pdf

I am searching for
-will outperform existing Gladen midbass
- shallow 8 inch midbass (Gladen is 67mm deep, not sure if i have any more space.),
-that can play deep and punchy, covers good 50Hz+ area and
- will be powered ok with mosconi pico (amp details below)
- is able to buy in europe for up to around 500 EUR

    • Output power @ 4Ω:
      4 x 50 Watts (channel: 1 - 4) 3-Ohm stable (not bridgeable!) (i use this for tweeter and midrange)
    • Output power @ 4Ω:
      4 x 90 Watts (Channel: 5 + 6 / 9 + 10) 2-Ohm stable / bridgeable
    • Output power @ 4Ω:
      4 x 50 Watts + 2 x 240 Watts (bridged channel 5 + 6 / 9 + 10)

Hello! It sounds like you're seeking a solid upgrade for your midbass drivers in your Toyota Camry. Given your requirements for an 8-inch midbass driver that can perform well in the 50-80Hz range and is compatible with your Mosconi Pico amp, I can provide some recommendations and insights.

### Key Factors to Consider:
1. **Depth:** Since your existing Gladen midbass is 67mm deep, make sure any new midbass driver fits within that space.
2. **Power Handling:** Ensure the midbass can handle the power from your amp (4 x 50 Watts at 4Ω).
3. **Frequency Response:** Look for drivers that can effectively cover the 50-80Hz range with authority and clarity.

### Recommendations:
Based on your existing options and requirements, here are some suggestions:

1. **ESX QXE8.2W**
- **Pros:** Good price-to-performance ratio, designed for deep bass response, and should fit your depth requirements.
- **Cons:** Ensure to check the exact dimensions and power handling to confirm compatibility with your setup.

2. **Helix CI7 W200FM S3**
- **Pros:** Known for quality sound, robust build, and good low-end performance. It should provide a punchy sound that fits well in the midbass range.
- **Cons:** Check if it fits within your depth limitations and ensure it can be adequately powered by your Mosconi amp.

### Additional Recommendations:
3. **Focal 8WM**
- **Pros:** Compact design, excellent sound quality, and strong performance in the midbass range. Focal is known for their clarity and punchiness.
- **Cons:** Slightly higher price point but worth considering if it fits your budget.

4. **Morel Maximo Ultra 8**
- **Pros:** Offers great clarity and depth in the midbass range, and is well-regarded for its build quality and sound.
- **Cons:** Ensure it fits within your depth constraints.

5. **Rockford Fosgate R8-4**
- **Pros:** This driver is designed for a deep punchy bass response and has a compact design.
- **Cons:** Make sure it fits your power requirements and depth.

### Installation Tips:
- **Sealing:** Ensure the midbass drivers are well-sealed in their enclosures to prevent air leaks, which can affect sound quality.
- **Damping:** Use sound-deadening material in your doors to minimize vibrations and enhance sound clarity.
- **Crossover Settings:** Fine-tune your crossover settings to ensure a smooth transition between your subwoofer and midbass drivers.

### Conclusion:
These options should certainly elevate your audio experience in the Camry. Be sure to check the exact specifications on the depth and power handling of any drivers you consider.

If you have any more specific preferences or need further assistance with installation or tuning, feel free to ask! And let's see if other members have suggestions or insights to add!

Unfortunately to expensive to order to EU. With shipping, customs, tax, you are quickly above 700 eur.

I would look at the helix Ci5 S200FM-D2
Over the ci7
The i5 has more power handling and lots more excursion, they are more of a dedicated midbass only playing up to around 500hz but given that you are running a 3way you should be fine
And bonus they are fairly priced at nonsolospeakers in austria

They also come in a 2 ohm version if needed

Agree.

Helix Ci5 for more of a front sub/midbass reinforcement type woofer, Ci7 if you need superb lower midrange above 350Hz with less emphasis on the 60-350Hz passband.

Hertz ML 1800.3 Mille Legend 180mm (7'') driver, very good as well, if you can make them fit,
