What battery should I use

Damn you have near 5k on 110 amp alternator?
🤔 i think I need a lithium for my mini
Wasn't looking forward to swapping alternator in that car
If you can find them in stock, the GloweVOltage is a great solution, up to 8K on most stock alternators. Completely overkill on my system.

Will be swapping out the Cresindo 2.5k for another SIQ 200.4, bridged to 585x2 at 4 pohms for my dual Focals, just for $hits and giggles.

Still, it will then be a fully class A/B setup, not the picture of efficiency, but not even concerned.

That’s good info but that’s kind of hard to locate a battery inside my car would the trunk work? And currently I’m running a 3,000 watt taramp for my kickers L7’s 3,000 watt prv for mid range speaker and a 400 watt taramp for tweeters
Trunk or anywhere other than the engine compartment works just fine, zero issues.

That’s what I’m saying lol I wish I would of found this site way earlier
THis is kind of how I have my setup.

I'm running 2/0 between the fron to the back, under the car and up through the rear hatch.

Using thes clips underneath (eveybody alwasy asks)

This pic shows the cable coming up from underneath - previous build, but the same on my current car, a Mazda 3 hatch.

So is it safer to run the power wires outside of the car cause of the lithium or could I keep it ran thru the inside of the car. And I’m going to keep my stock lead acid battery should I get an isolator ? And what size fuse breaker?

For me it is a size thing. It is just easier to run larger cables on the outside then drill a few holes to get in the car.

I think it's easier, not asafety issue for me.

1/0, 2/0 ofc gets a bit bulky under the carpet inside the car, under the car is just the wayy i've always done large wire to the back of my cars.

I use T-Tocas or Blue Sea 300A circuit breakers instead of fuses.

Preferably these,

Don't get the real cheapo units, the T-Tocas are great, have never failed me yet.

Okay will do but do I need a battery isolator for using 2 different type of batteries?

Check out this 2/0 ultraflex orange and the red cable too, hella good pricing, just grabbed me 40 ft of that orange ultraflex, gonna cover it in braid anyway, so won't be worried about polarity, just mark it and run braided fabric over it.

An isolater is not required as the charging voltage on both is almost identical.

Charging voltage is the determining factor, not the chemistry.

I run this because I had one lying around, and it lets me isolate the system from the main electrical with a push of a button.

Hell yeah appreciate you bro very good info thank you

I have one but it doesn’t do the lifepo4
That one does all types, and it's automatic, just put it on and go.

If yours doesn't do lithium, then you need one that does.

This one is only $35.00 with a coupon!

Sorry I'm late. I see people recommending Lithium without knowing your charging voltage. :poop:
Also lithium does NOT go under the hood. Period.

I'll help you. I have built and ran a few lithium banks personally and pretty knowledgeable with different cells and chemistries.

1st. What's your alternators cold and hot charging voltage. This is very important with lithium.
2nd. What amplifiers.
3rd. Are you willing to do a battery delete up front?
