Damn that’s what I need unfortunately for my car they only sell 250 amp alternators I’ve looked everywhereMy brother in law has 4 yellow tops with over 20,000 watts and they hold up quite well but mind you he does have 2 400amp mechman alternators
Trust me I tried them to they don’t sell them for my carYou can try contacting singer alternators
Or apex alternators
What car do you have?Trust me I tried them to they don’t sell them for my car
You don't need a higher output alt, the 250A alt is fine; you need lithium help.
Yellow tops, AGM, etc, they are all just different lead acid type batteries and will be very limited in burst rate electrical current support.
What you need on a 5k system is current reinforcements in the form of a 2nd battery.
Look into a glowevoltage series 1 or series 2, parallel wire it to the primary, and parallel ground it too.
Batteries - Glowe Voltage

They are out of stock, but they have what you need.
This is also one hell of a deal, and you should jump on it!

I’m not trying to find my car on fire lolThat will solve your problem, all by itself.
I linked one in my response; it's a steal, lower than I've ever seen the Titan 8s sell for.

What are your reservations about lithium?
Thank you I might just try that one out thenI think the titans are more plug and play like a typical battery
Not all lithiums needs dc/dc charger
Urban legend, non-issue, at least any longer.I’m not trying to find my car on fire lol

The Titan 8 uses lithium-titanate cells and is very safe. The GloweVoltage uses LifeP04 technology, both are every bit as safe as your under-the-hood AGM or yellow top.
You don't put lithium in the engine compartment; that's the only thing you can't do.
I've run both the Titans and currently run a Glowe series 1, in Boise, not too far south from y'all, and HOTTER in the summer than CA for sure.
The Lithium would be mounted inside the car somewhere, and when it's hot out, your air conditioning is on, and when it's cold, you run the heat, always a pretty temperate environment.
And because the charging voltage is relatively identical, no DC/DC or isolator is required. I do have a 500A smart isolator inline, just because it allows me to disengage the front end when I want to work on the back, etc.
I have close to 5k on tap and still use the 110A alternator - never so much as a hiccup.
How many amplifiers are you using here?
That’s good info but that’s kind of hard to locate a battery inside my car would the trunk work? And currently I’m running a 3,000 watt taramp for my kickers L7’s 3,000 watt prv for mid range speaker and a 400 watt taramp for tweetersUrban legend, non-issue, at least any longer.
