2025 f150 supercrew build?

I've never heard the Prodigy subs, but the specs look good, plus they'll work in ~.75cuft sealed. And because it works in smaller space, you can tune lower in ported enclosures.
Hrd to find a pre-fab box with radius cut corners to accommodate the 12" Prod's, oddball cutout...
Could get this box, 10" cut-out & enlarge it....
Its 5/8 mdf, no different than the 12" sealed skarr box...
Talking to the owner at Prodigy, the skarr box might work but it will be close.
the 12's have a 10.625 cutout, & most 12" boxes have a 11.3 cutout.

Call and ask if the box builder can cut a custom cutout.

really no reason to..
the 10" box & 12" box are the same size airspace.
get the 10" box & enlarge the hole.

Do you think 5/8 vs 3/4" makes a difference in this scenario?

all those boxes are 5/8

sound skin is 3/4 but the 12" box will stick out the front.
maybe the mti box wont....
fox box is 3/4, but only 10s, they have ported & sealed. fullsize 10s

The set up I had on my 2020 with the factory B&O system. I’ve had lots of different under the seat combos on my previous half tons but it wasn’t ever enough. I went with 4 8” Ground zero subs, custom sealed box, custom 2” seat lift, Soundigital 5000.1 evo amp, LC2i line output converter and 0 gauge wiring. All on stock electrical. It pounded. So much better than the previous 2 10’s I always ran.

If flush is big concern then go with the Foxbox. The 10" Prodigy NB3 specs like it should work in an extremely small box. I'd even consider going custom with 3 sealed or 2 ported in ~1.75 tuned to ~32hz. Three 10s sealed would also present an easy load for an amp (8 ohms x 3 = 2.66 ohms).

Just got an email response from Fox, also 5/8" construction...

I understand 5/8ths at Skar's price point, but for what Fox is charging, I would expect 3/4". Especially for their ported enclosures.
I agree....
Right now the dual 12" downfire from skar is $130, reviews are decent. As long as I dont blow it apart....
$350 for the Fox...

The thing is those Prodigy subs are pretty stout, so I would want 3/4". Given the cut out and depth of the subs, I wonder if you could just build your own enclosure since you don't need to maximize airspace or depth with those subs.

hey man, this is an interesting read as I’m about to buy ford truck and the sub enclosure I’m going to get is top of mind. It sounds like you’re saying I got the skills to build, I know a prefab is not the best way to achieve what I’m looking to achieve, but you don’t really want to build one.

I could be off but here’s a few things
-Ct meso’s don’t ****. They are Chinese build but nearly everything is. 8’s could work
- savard has two lines of 8’s that look awesome and get great feedback
-droppinhz has outlet incriminator i10’s d4 500rms/1000max for like 120$ each and they take a super reduced amount of airspace and they are less than 5” in depth.

Isn’t there at least one of these box sellers that could beef it up a bit, use 3/4 instead of 5/8 for a minimal charge. Seems like a light ask

MTI I think does three-quarter, sound skins for sure does three-quarter, but if you go to 12 inch down fire box, sticks out few inches past the edge of the seat.
A dual 10” would not….
But still, the radius corners looks cleaner, but just not a dealbreaker.
Basically, I’ve got paralysis on this one at the moment…🤪
If you follow my posts, I’ve done three builds in a short period of time, have money coming out of my ears on the systems, would be nice to hear a similar system before pulling the trigger, makes decisions easier, but not an option.
So many different mindsets on what’s best, doesn’t help!!!!

Makes sense, system build fatigue sounds real. Also I see those forward facings and think how pissed I am if my kid kicks it. Even. Protective bars. Radius defintely would be a must for my ocd
