Sorry if this is the wrong place but i am a newby here. I have a 23' altima with bose and hooked up 2 subs and an amp using a LOC but i get a low bass hum unless the car is off. Would it matter if i hook into the system before the bose amp(right now its after) or do i need to kill the mics in the car and if so how do you do that

To eliminate hum, try these steps: ensure proper grounding of your amp, possibly use a ground loop isolator, or check your LOC connections.

Will it leave a hole in the car if you take out the microphone? Possible interfering with the frequencies to the power amplifier. Humming sounds are from too much ground loops between the head unit and the power amplifier. Ground loops are ground connections made from the component to the chassis. Access amounts. Try taking out some ground loops when you locate them. And no, will not affect the outcome of the components.
