Featured 2010 ford ranger, which door speakers???

So now that my tacoma system is done, kind of learned alot....
Son is gettiing a used standard cab ranger & starting to put some thoughts into a system....
Just want it loud, full, clean....
Not looking to dsp this one,
One again, so many brands & series speakers im unfamilar with, give the ability to get more for less on some brands.
Going to do some sort of sub behind the seat, 2 10's...
But I want this discussion to be about the door speakers.
Assuming going coaxial 2ways as main would be dumb?
I have polk momo 2way components in my 00 expeditions & it cranks / loud!
So in a ranger if you guys suggest components, 2 ways should be fine?
You guys mention cat & nix alot but no idea what series...

Some budget build shops around me rave about how loud the Alpine R's get & not super costly...
Not looking for anything crazy expensive like going overboard on my truck, but dont want this to be a slouche either...
Assuming CT sounds Meso component set is garbage?????
Would imagine im not going to get any love here in regards to CT, but want honesty & direction more than anything...
Not looking for a total budget speaker, I want it to sound good but also be able to really crank it...
He's never really heard an SPL system....

Think the door utilize a 6x8 stock speaker.
so can do 6.5", 7.0", 6x9", etc....

Look at the cdt audio component sets. If you can fit a 6x9 or 8 inch woofer I'd gp that route

Polk Momos are good speakers for the money. CDT is another good option and they always have something on sale.

What's the cliff notes version of how to make sense of all the different series of cdt speakers?
Which ones should I be looking at....
Assuming the hd series is where I should be looking...
The factory speakers are 6x8, but that leaves multiple options using a die grinder / sawzall....
Ill get more out of a component set of cdt 6x9 & separate tweeter vs a cdt coaxial 6x9?

Look at the bigger sets like the 7" or 6x9 and see what'll fit depth wise

I've got a lot of experience with CDT and the NVX lines. If you're looking for a specific size and have a budget let me know. I've got a set of the HD-M6 drivers sitting on the shelf too. I've written a white paper on the Steven's SA-1 and the CDT ES1200is tweeters. I've used several of the mids, midbass and most of their tweeters and some of the 6x9's. As for the NVX, have used quite a few of their drivers too with the exception of their new high ep SPL subs.

I second this message. CDT's wideband "tweeters" are pretty well respected if they work for your install.

The stevens SA-1 tweeters are an exceptional value too. Unmatched chambered silk dome tweeters for $99.00 a pair. low fs of 640hz, 150 watt RMS, VERY good tweeters. I prefer them over the CDT's if you can make them fit. CDT's ES-1200is is a bit more treble forward and the off axis response is slightly better but the Steven's driver has better imaging/staging and a smoother top end. and again, 150 watts RMS!

They do beefy 6.7" with a fair bit of xmax...I always just think of them as 7's

Deaf Bonce Sylvester's if they fit. If they don't then go with Infinity Reference or Polk Audio two ways. Just my 2 cents. I've ran all of them. Mounting depth might be your issue. I've also owned a 94' Ranger.
