@Old_Slapper Quick question: how did Cali handle "ninja" beetle kill? Did they try clearing it all or just leave there to burn?

Colorado is cutting it down and leaving it piled up in the forest. Alot of this occurring close to major ski resorts & the attached towns. I'm hoping to heck that it doesn't go up. Some of these resorts are clumped close together, so there is a real possibility of 3-4 resorts going up in a single fire.

You already proved you don't comprehend most things, least of all my post, so you really should stop quoting them. Gas prices at the pump and oil prices per barrel are not the same thing. Oil and gasoline are not the same.

Changes in the price of oil and the price of gas are pretty much synchronous.
Remember how in your great wisdom you "taught" us all that rising gas prices can affect retail product prices?
Well, you shouldn't be shocked that since gas is refined from oil, the movement of oil prices DIRECTLY moves the prices of gas.

Direct action doesn't always mean by first hand physical actions. Especially by the President. He does not work at a gas station.

This is another situation where I make a statement (Direct and indirect actions) and YOU don't follow that belief so you act like it isn't truth or factual and you ignore it until you quote it to argue about it out of ignorance.

The POTUS doesn't flip a gas price switch to clarify for you. He can say something to an oil producing country that will cause them to do whatever they do to raise or lower the cost of gas down the line. Produce more or less oil. (Direct Action).

Here's your chance to clarify what word did you actually want to use instead of "direct". It will help us understand you better.

Now you are backpedaling to say it can take weeks, when I ask why Trump hasn't already "done" it.

You must go to some REALLY backwoods gas stations if it takes them weeks to change prices at the pump. Do they get the notice by Pony Express? Even the most rural gas stations here have telephone and can update daily.

You have brought up firebreaks multiple times in explaining how Newsom is at fault for the extent of the fires. Then YOU called them a "strawman", then YOU brought them up again.

Firebreaks are irrelevant to the discussion of THESE fires. And you said they are a strawman. I'm not telling you what you are allowed to say, but why bring up an irrelevant point over and over? It only serves to weaken your argument.

The lack of firebreaks & brush clearing demonstrates mismanagement & dereliction of duty. I'm sure you don't want to see these facts because the are indeed undeniable proof that Newsom & Co are terrible at their jobs. And it would be nice if they could have blamed it on lack of funding or inability to fill positions, but they don't have that excuse. They spent money & hired people only to still fail to do their job. Once again given Cali's history of fires, why the **** don't they clear brush and build fire breaks?

OK. So you want the discussion to be more about how the Cali gov't has failed, as opposed to how it failed in the context of these fires.
Would you say that failing to prevent over 3,000,000 acres from burning, over 6,000 structures from being destroyed, and ~50 people being killed by wildfires is a bad thing?

"Lucky" for me that same type of mismanagement has infected Colorado's gov't and we cut down all the beetle kill in the forests and then left it there in piles. And when our forests go up, some looney liberal will say, "look the increased the budget, they cut down the beetle kill..."

That's scary. Tinderbox like our boundary water area a few years after a major blowdown.

The more you claim I say something I didn't actually say, the more I will screw with you about it. When I make a statement, and then YOU say I said something else then I will 100% say what you claim I said just to **** with you. What do you do in return? To a point I made a long way back about convicting someone without visual proof... I share this. When a Judge can't even repeat back what was said a few seconds later is why you don't just accept someones word in a courtroom. This judge in this example speaks back the way RobGMN speaks back to us on this forum. You can say something to him and he will spit back his version of it right after and that is the version he chooses to run with.

I am trying to help you Rob. I am sure you do this with information from your biased news sources too.
