23 TLX audio upgrade questions...

Hey all! So it's been a LONG time since I've messed with car audio! Decades! And a lot has changed...or has it?! Anyway....

I have a 23 TLX Type S w/ELS 3D audio. Built by Elliot Schiner and Pansonic. I'm looking to add a 8-10" sub and wondered if you can pull signal from the rear Telford subs (unplug them) and use that feed into a processor and amp?

If so what type of processor? And what to look out for? There isn't much out there for that car that I've found....and JUST got on here so haven't looked around too much....

Thanks for any insight.

Yes.

An LOC/epicenter combo.
I just saw your other post. That Audiocontrol amp may already have an LOC/bas restorer built in.

So been messing around with ideas on this and have one in mind:

-AudioControl LC-1.800 Amp
-AudioControl LC2i Pro Processor

-Hertz MP 250 D4.3 10" sub

-1.5 farad capacitor

Thoughts??

You will not need the LC2i Pro if you are running the LC-1.800

You have speaker level inputs on the amp as well as accubass to correct the factory bass curve if needed

Interesting....as the AudioControl rep said I needed that as well...but was confused as I THOUGHT you didn't with that amp! :)
Oh, yeah, that even has bass restoration in it! WTF

THANKS!

You might want to see if you headunit requires a resistance. Easy to test, unplug the sub, if the headunit turns on and plays sound, you don't need it. If the headunit will not turn on or not play sound you will need a resistor. like this
