Amplifier Going Into Protection Mode at Higher Volume with Pioneer AVH-3300 NEX Head-Unit

Trying to diagnose an issue I've had on two cars (both 2004 Land Rover Discoveries). Both have the same head-unit (Pioneer AVH 3300 NEX) and one is equipped with a JVC Arsenal 12" sub woofer and eclipse 1000 amp. The other has a 10" amazon sub and I can't remember the amp off the top of my head. When the volume is raised on songs with a decent amount of bass the subwoofer amp goes into protection mode on both of them. Have verified ground is good on both but trying to see if this is an issue with the specific radio model, or something else. Looking for advice on what to check/how to properly diagnose this issue. Improperly set gains. THey are most likely being overdriven into protect/clipping.

I second that you are probably overdriving the amp.

I will check gain but have adjusted it a few times. Clipping indicator doesn't illuminate.

Check your connections at the battery terminal and fuse holder. I got a Scosche 4 AWG kit and the fuseholder to terminal cable pulled out of the molded fuseholder. It must have been crimped by a child at the Temu factory.

Just an update. I ended up replacing the amplifier (eclipse XA1000) with a new-old stock amp of the same specs and it fixed my issue.
