All I stated was that what you posted looked pieced together and so on... you have quoted it, you know what I said. None of what I said is me in anyway saying that man didn't say or do something. I commented on what was posted by people speaking about him. He may have done or said every last bit of what was posted. I don't know. I literally gave my opinion based on my observation of what I read.
What about it looked fabricated or "pieced together" from your observation?
Did you do any critical thinking or due diligence and check if your assumption was right, or did you just immediately jump to the man's defense across multiple posts without ever checking?
If you never actually did the due diligence, why did you continue to defend him after your first attempt? Was it simply to be contrary to my post, or because he is Republican and you believe Republicans can do no wrong?

And yes, you DEFENDED him. You literally tried to deny all the things posted about him by arguing idealism - the philosophy that nothing exists that is not observed. You tried to say that he did nothing since I didn't personally observe it.
Here is your attempt: "So you have seen and heard him speak in person expressing his views or you have just formed your opinion of him from the postings of other people or from videos?"
Trying to say that none of the stuff he did actually happened since I didn't personally see him do it.
Even Jimi responded that it was a silly argument.

Denial is a defense mechanism - "Denial is a type of defense mechanism that involves ignoring the reality of a situation to avoid anxiety. Defense mechanisms are strategies that people use to cope with distressing feelings. In the case of denial, it can involve not acknowledging reality or denying the consequences of that reality."
Let me help. $7.79lb. since you can't bring yourself to say it. $7.79lb Rob. Just like I said it was when you decided to call me a liar in your own way.
Let me help you with math: $7.79/lb is >$7.00/lb. But whether that price is good or bad is entirely unknown without context, as I illustrated in my response to you.
So, let's try again: What did the Meijir store (or Kroger, or WalMart, or wherever you shop) charge for 85/15 Angus ground beef in 2017? Feel free to also include a year or two before, and a year or two later. For context. Context that is needed to determine if today's price is good, bad, or neutral.

Let me help you as you have just failed in your attempt to call me stupid. To be in a wheelhouse would mean I am in a shelter on a ship. What YOU should have said is it is not my wheelhouse which would refer to my area of expertise.
I don't have to call you stupid. You literally just showed your limited knowledge of words. This is why I suggested you stay away from reading and trying to understand words and the concept they represent.

wheelhouse noun,plural wheel·hous·es [weel-hou-ziz, hweel-].
an area of expertis; ean area that someone is interested in and skilled at:
This product plays directly into marketing’s wheelhouse.
an area that someone is interested in and skilled at:
I first needed to figure out what was in my wheelhouse.
Unfortunately, for most of the time I had been working outside my wheelhouse.

Notice the examples used in the dictionary specifically reference "in" or "outside" of a wheelhouse.
You literally just showed us that reading and comprehension are not in your wheelhouse by trying to correct me on my usage of the term.
That's ironic.

And yes, it IS ironic.
ironic - happening in the opposite way to what is expected, and typically causing wry amusement because of this
I am wryly amused that you would try to show you are erudite with regards to verbage, yet you do the opposite.

Actually "not in your wheelhouse" and "is not your wheelhouse" are both correct.
Right, I am storing my life skills in a theoretical place but that is sharing the same name as the enclosure on a ship used to protect the person at the wheel of said ship from the elements or the structure holding a paddle wheel or enclosing the wheel in an old mill. Feel free to use what you like. I will use the "Is not your" version. It sounds less ignorant to me. However, being this isn't the mid 1800's Rob could use a more prudent word or phrase when attempting to belittle me but we know he lives in the past so I expect they way he talks.

If a person reads something and they are left with questions then all the information is not there. I was left with questions. You seem to be perfectly fine with partial information when it helps you form an opinion about a person who doesn't share your political views or helps you hate someone. Again, you do you. However, I am not going to sit here and have you tell me what I am doing, what I feel, or what I think when I read something because you have chosen to not like the person being talked about. Just because YOU don't like him doesn't mean anyone else talking about him is defending him if they too don't share your political views. I told you EXACTLY what I was doing when I posted. I am QUESTIONING the writers of the material and QUESTIONING YOU. Posing question is not a defense of the subject of the post no matter how much you want that to be true just so you can feel you are right.

When I ask if you have seen him speak in person why do you think I asked that question? I'll explain because you have no clue. If you see him speak in person then you are not reading partial articles or pieced together post. You are hearing all of the information and for educated people that is preferred when forming an opinion.

You are stuck in denial Rob. Denial that anyone else can be right unless they share your views or agree with you in some way.

$7.79lb is the only answer to the question I asked you.
I don't have to call you stupid. You literally just showed your limited knowledge of words. This is why I suggested you stay away from reading and trying to understand words and the concept they represent.
Here we go again. Because I think certain words sound ignorant does not by default mean I have a lack of knowledge of anything. Keep your defense mechanism in check when you speak to me.

If you expect me to respond in the way I respond then that is not opposite now is it. So in order for you to be right like you always think you are you will have to admit to this whole forum that you actually think I am very intelligent. I am cool with that Gramps... have at it. I like compliments.

One more thing in response to $7.79 not having context. It did actually. It was stated that while Trump was president the price for ground beef was under $5 per pound. It was further stated that under Biden the price for ground beef is over $7 a pound. This was stated by me. It is factual information. For some reason this offended you and I am not sure why. Was it because I made you read the word Trump and that triggered you or that I mentioned Biden when talking about inflation and THAT triggered you? Was it both? Why are you triggered?

When you were "left with questions", did you make any effort to to get an answer to those "questions", or did you just continue to defend Mauch by just asking more of these "questions"?

You say you "questioning the writers of the material". The letter were written by Mauch over the course of years.
In what way did you question the writer (Mauch) to see if he really meant what he wrote, or if it had meaning other than what HE wrote?
When I ask if you have seen him speak in person why do you think I asked that question? I'll explain because you have no clue. If you see him speak in person then you are not reading partial articles or pieced together post. You never saw Shakespeare write a play. Do you then deny that it ever happened or question the existence of the play?
You are trying to use a philosophical idealism argument to defend his actions. But you are using the argument selectively which is disingenuous.
How about we say to you every time you blame Biden for something: "Did you SEE Biden cause it to happen? NO? Then it must not have happened".
It's a silly argument stance. As a proclaimed world-wise adult, you should know better.
You are stuck in denial Rob. Denial that anyone else can be right unless they share your views or agree with you in some way.
Not at all the case. i am stuck in reality. A reality where opinions/beliefs/feeling don't change irrefuatable fact
$7.79lb is the only answer to the question I asked you.

Here we go again. Because I think certain words sound ignorant does not by default mean I have a lack of knowledge of anything. Keep your defense mechanism in check when you speak to me.
That's a weak backpedal. You didn't comment on the WORD "wheelhouse", you commented that I erred when using "in" before "your wheelhouse" as part of my response to you. You were wrong is your assumption, as proved by the simple use of a dictionary.
So again, I'll say that the skills reading and understanding words do not seem to be in your wheelhouse.

If you expect me to respond in the way I respond then that is not opposite now is it. So in order for you to be right like you always think you are you will have to admit to this whole forum that you actually think I am very intelligent. I am cool with that Gramps... have at it. I like compliments.
I expect people to do what they claim they do or what they claim they are doing. If you are going to try to show me where I am incorrect, I expect you to show me I am incorrect.
Instead, you show me YOU are incorrect.
Again.
It would only have been better if you had actually screensnipped the dictionary definition and example, like that time you shared images from a medical textbook that showed you are wrong.
Good comedy, that one.

Show us proof of the price of 85/15 Angus ground beef at the store near you.
When you are talking "the price of ground beef" as an average across the country, it is in reference to the averages provided by the USDA. Averages that you think are only lazy and nefarious.

If you want, I can easily prove to you that the real price of ground beef under Trump was $3.97/lb and that same ground beef today is only 33 cents more per pound, while the average US salary under Trump was $50K, and it is now $63K.

So, let's DISCUSS facts about your complaint about today's cost of ground beef that YOU buy: What was the retail price of 85/15 Angus ground beef at YOUR store in 2014-2023?
By the by, using "wheelhouse" to describe anything other than its actual definition is slang usage. Argue that you two scholars. lol
And? No one ever tried to deny that, nor was it part of your complaint that I shouldn't say "IN your wheelhouse".

But I sure hope this wasn't your attempt to tell us that we really shouldn't be using slang, because the phrase you used above IS slang, AND you used it improperly.
The correct phrase is "bye the bye", it is used in place of "incidentally" and it is used as a sentence connector, not as a sentence starter.
"bye the bye" - incidentally; by the way: used as a sentence connector

You say you "questioning the writers of the material". The letters were written by Mauch over the course of years. In what way did you question the writer (Mauch) to see if he really meant what he wrote, or if it had meaning other than what HE wrote?

I'm not sure what that rant is all about. I was just informing you both versions are correct and commonly used in the English language.
