Show me where I denied what HE did. If your defense is saying I attempted to deny then you have nothing but an assumption. You are then arguing your assumptions as an actual action that I took as if it is fact.
"Seems put together and misinterpreted to support a narrative."
Trying to deny the information is true and that Mauch has done what he has done.
"It's all partial quotes. Paints a picture, sure. However, it is missing a lot of context. Without context I don't accept the pictures painted."
Trying to intimate that all the stuff he has written about and done is intentionally being taken out of context to besmirch him in some way.
"So you have seen and heard him speak in person expressing his views or you have just formed your opinion of him from the postings of other people or from videos?"
Attempting the philosphical of debate as to whether something happened if we didn't witness it first-hand.
Three different attempts to deny that Mauch did what he did,
And they are quotes from YOUR posts, so please don't deny their existence even though I didn't witness you typing them on your keyboard
You had you chance at a civil and intellectual conversation. You chose poorly.
I "chose poorly" by referencing factual information in lieu of personal feelings/opinions/beliefs?
Well, I apologize that facts offend you so much that they make you unable to discuss things.
What if I said "I opine that economists know more than you or I do about the economy, and those economists say that inflation is not always a bad thing"? Or maybe "I believe the inflation numbers cited by the Feds are accurate"?
I never set goalpost, I gave you the prices then showed you proof of what I was referencing. You don't get to pick my references. You just get to admit I am right and you were wrong in your attempt to sway my example in you favor. Now, this discussion is over. You may move on to a different topic as I am done proving you wrong on this one. You're welcome.
You complained about the price of ground beef being more than $7.00 a pound. I refuted that number, very specifically referencing 80/20 ground beef, the most commonly purchased version. You complained that I was using 3 lb packages. So I reference 1 lb packages.
You then complained I used the wrong city for the store and you named three stores. So I used those three stores, still referencing the 80/20, and I used stores where you live. Not one was even close top $7.00/lb.
I even go the extra mile for you and reference the actual price and the real price of 80/20 between 2017 and now, so you know that I am providing context as to prices, and not ignoring history.
Only THEN do you decide to say you are referencing ANGUS beef at an 85/15 mix, yet you still refuse to provide any
context as to the prices charged in the past at the same stores you demanded be referenced for pricing. For all we know, that same beef was $8.00/lb in 2017.
You refuse to
discuss. You refuse to
communicate. You refuse to provide
context.
And on top of refusing to do any of those things you whine regularly that others don't do, you then think YOU get to decide what topics will or will not be discussed here.
Ironic. And wrong.
The members here will discuss/debate/argue/converse about whatever we want to.
If you don't like it, you can simply watch the action, ignore the thread altogether, or maybe even quit the forum.
Up to you, but you won't be telling ME what I will or will not do here.
