I have an 08 Tundra with 2- 12” L7S122 in individual Solo-Baric box. I have a kicker 1200 pushing both currently and need to add more power. Keep in mind this is my first build. My question is I need to upgrade my alternator first to a 250. What am I getting into when I do that? Just a new one or do I need to add a battery and…

Are you going to run them two ohms or ½ ohm?

You should do the big 3/4 when you change your alternator. See how it does after that. If your voltage is dropping too much then add another AGM.

I don't think that Kicker amp is strong enough to power both of those subs @ 2 ohms.

The L7S are 1500 combined and I’ve got 1200 currently, so I need a larger amp. I have voltage drop with the 1200 when I’m pushing them
