I’ve seen some crappy installs in my time but this……I just had to post it!

Ive had wires all over the place and bundled up back in the day when I first got into this hobby(Still do at times when Testing several amps on board without cutting a nice length of wiring back). But Ive never left anything HOTT exposed. LOL I guess if it works??LOL RUN IT!!

Lol, right!! I remember using extension cords for speaker and power wire, and ground back in the day. I knew nothing about wire size,etc. and I still use scrap wire when testing things even know but as you said, never leave anything hot unexposed.

That is incorrect, those wires have to be intermeshed! Trust me, it will hit harder afterwards.

I literally tore apart an old 12 gauge extension cord for my speaker wire in my system a couple weeks ago. I even twisted it together in an attempt to make it look like high end braided speaker “cable”. I should probably have my bass card revoked.

I was going to keep that one to myself.. But it was copper wiring, and I used it too. It took a little while before my Old man figured out where his went. LOL. Then I had to work it off to pay for them

I literally tore apart an old 12 gauge extension cord for my speaker wire in my system a couple weeks ago. I even twisted it together in an attempt to make it look like high end braided speaker “cable”. I should probably have my bass card revoked.

. Man, I can’t lie. I did an install like that once but it was in my rookie days. I knew nothing about running wires through the firewall.
