Electric vehicles aren't causing the current gas prices. It's simple supply/demand economics. You still haven't learned. I thought while I was in jail that you would've learned by now.

The current picture meaning we can't just swap over to EV's as the MAJORITY of US citizens can't afford them. If we are to transition it needs to be done over a llllllllllllooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggg period of time. In the mean time we need to pump more of our own oil and refine it. Period.

The President can't force the oil companies to pump more oil. He can open up our reserves which he has done. He can give out more oil drilling permits which he has done. How is he supposed an oil company from being greedy?

Permits and leases. Two different things. He can give out all the permits he wants but if the leases for the land they have permits for are no good then they can't drill. Look into it.

I think artificially low gas prices hurt us. Oil hurts the planet and it will run out. We need to invest in replacement technologies.
Low prices won't generate the investment or stimulate it.
I think investment money should be built in the gas prices.
There are TONS of possibilities for replacing oil. We need to focus on the future. Being a leader in whatever comes next could be very beneficial for the US, and beneficial for the planet.
