Hi I have just bought this audiobahn 10" 1200w wand i need an amp for it.
I want it to be as loud as possible but not to blow it.
seems like i need something 500w rms at 4 ohm is that right?
will i also need a capacitor?

sorry im new to this so thank you for your help
You are correct with the rms and ohm load you will have. Do you have a budget in mind? I have a feeling 500 watts is gonna be on the high side for this little guy so we won't go much over that. I wouldn't recommend a capacitor.
Do you have any space constraints?

Here's some quick finds.
I believe the nvx and soundqubed are China boards, but they should work fine for what you have
Kicker 300 watts at 4 ohms
Nvx 390 watts at 4 ohms
Soundqubed 530 watts at 4 ohms

I'm sure there's better amps out there but for this size system there's a lot you'll find success with and few you'll be disappointed in. Just don't buy a boss or something lol.

Ps don't mind slo. He's. . . . Slow

It’s not power that usually blows subwoofer. It’s distortion. 500 W it is a little overboard, but it shouldn’t hurt your sub, as long as your amp is throwing out clean power. Just make sure your amp is of decent quality. As stated earlier, no Boss!

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
