Im trading my 2018 silverado in for a 2022. I had a Kenwood 6705s in my truck. I would really like to keep the factory HU this time. In 2018 I needed a $800 optical line out thing if I wanted to keep the factory HU. Whats the best options out there now? Also will my sub box fit the new 2022? Its a double cab and my new one will be as well.

Usually as I said in the other thread those head units in the newer vehicles can not be removed anymore hence why everyone goes to a DSP for the best settings, control and sound. Sadly this is how it is going to be going forward they just put too much into those OEM head units that control other stuff besides the stereo systems in them.

Many of the amp bypass kits or processors for 2018 silverados with bose systems still cost upwards of $400, some above $600.
Maybe try posting something useful once in awhile, or are you unable to. 🤔

Edit: To clarify, the kits I'm talking about are to bypass the entire amp if you're looking to replace all of the stock speakers. If you're simply adding a subwoofer, it can be done much cheaper.

Are you just trying to add the subs or an entire system? I tapped the factory bose amp outputs from my 2018 with a kicker keyloc and have had great results. I dont know how much they changed it or what sound system you have.

I just got the truck in possession. What a shit show. It has the mid grade system 8'' screen. No bose or premium sound. I want to add 2 amps one for morel tempo 6X9 in the front door and one for 2 JL W3 10'' subs. What would be the best way to send signal to the amps? Hopefully with some good way to adjust the signal.

Why are you b*tching it doesn't have Bose or premium sound if you plan on replacing everything? So you wanted to pay more just to throw that money in the trash? Cool.

I wasnt bitching about not having the premium sound system, just stating a fact. You really are a miserable ****. I guess I cant blame you, you live in atlanta. LOL. Thanks to everybody else for the info. I got it figured out with the help from Best Buy of all places.
