Oil prices go hand-in-hand with gas prices. The president can absolutely impact oil prices. On the oth hand, it's nice to see my USO shares recovering.
To be fair he said impact not control. Look at the last administration. Gas prices skyrocketed. How can the President control the oil prices?
Some would argue that relying on opec and shutting down domestic production raises prices. The federal government controls permitting for drilling. They can deny permits and affect the supply, which affects prices. That's one way to affect prices as an administration. Shutting down permits is environmental. What exactly does "green new deal" mean to you?
Don't be a tool and just research it for yourself. What about my statement is untrue? It's supply and demand, plain and simple. Do you really think that any President would want higher gas prices? You guys are funny. Conspiracy theorists everywhere with zero proof.
Bobby's history makes me think he literally googled "can the president change gas prices". No, the president can't call gas stations and change the price.
Slug, you seem very well informed; you're wasting your time with these shiver-brains.

Again. What about my statement is untrue?I have, plenty of times. It's basic supply and demand. OPEC cut production, refineries shut down due to Covid and the arctic freeze, and not enough truck drivers. But you seem to think that it's Biden's fault.Hmm!
If the President has interest in oil production such as stocks in oil companies then yes, of course he/she would want higher prices. That's more money in the Presidents pockets. Do you think oil production is done out of the kindness of peoples hearts just so we can get back and forth to work? No, it's all about money. It's supply and demand, plain and simple. Do you really think that any President would want higher gas prices? You guys are funny. Conspiracy theorists everywhere with zero proof.
Nerve rackin sunsabitcches. It’s like talking to my brothers kids
In a nutshell this is the reason for all of the price increases, wether it's gas, food, or whatever. You can blame Biden all you want if it makes you feel better but it's certainly not his fault. I assume everyone here is smart enough to know that the supply is "stuck" right now and so therefore prices go up. It's not hard folks.I have, plenty of times. It's basic supply and demand. OPEC cut production, refineries shut down due to Covid and the arctic freeze, and not enough truck drivers. But you seem to think that it's Biden's fault.Hmm!
