Buck Box Designs - Refreshed Thread

2 Digital Designs 9918 esp's going in a small 2 door coupe in a B-pillar wall. This box is not much smaller than the car itself. This will be on lots of watts, at least amps rated for lots and lots of watts. The amps may change over time, but the wattage rating, iirc, is 16,000 watts. It's tuned very low, as well. Goal is very loud low bass and extension of bandwidth up as high as possible. These 18's weigh about 90 pounds a piece, and they are ~12" mounting depth. It was difficult to find any layout that would work. I couldn't help but do this like I did it. The shape of this shell spoke to me.

I have people on ignore; I guess that makes my 2 9918's design bad? Idk. I've been really busy working, doing massive business spreadsheets, working on CNC tooling/cutting techniques, studying horns, people are haters why? Idk, I keep audio to audio. Idk why that 2 9918's box is unlike-able, seems pretty sweet to me.

I'm basically ready to start offering horns, tapered t-lines, and I have a ton of high SPL music type hybrid designs that I can do, if people have the room for one.

I want to do something like a very high powered single 10 or 12 in a series like bandpass with a tuned horn-like front chamber.

Anybody who wants to have fun with some crazy designs, I think I'm at the place where I understand sound well enough to completely do some wild hybrid designs. These aren't in particular order:

1. I want to do a series 6th order with passive radiators
2. I want to do a series and parallel 6th order with a horn-like front/high side or even t-line
3. I want to do just a raw folded horn for anything bass-wise (midrange horns are way more difficult than bass horns)
4. I definitely want to do a 4-6 18's or 8 15's, something like that, van or suburban horn wall to get some of low Hz SPL competition dudes over 160 dB in the 20's (so much fun)
5. I want to do a tapered transmission line
6. I want to do a 4th order and tapered t-line hybrid
7. I want to do a massive HT t-line for watching movies that shakes people's houses like an earthquake.
8. I want to do a passive radiator and t-line combo.
9. I really want to learn how to do super efficient and loud desktop midrange/midbass combo horns, say for like 3"-6.5" single woofers.
10. I want to do tiny tapped t-lines for very small subwoofers for music bass in a house, like at my computer work desk. [Big-environment sub boxes have to be of a completely different nature than enclosures stuck in a leaky sealed vehicle cabin]

Somebody let me do some ridiculous enclosures for your and my entertainment and true audio science. I'm a bass madman, sometimes. Anybody interested in super high SPL in the 20-29 Hz range, let me know!!! I can help you, I believe. Those systems are the hardest to get loud, due to low wavelengths becoming exponentially long (they start getting super duper long below 28 hz or so). Gotta know the duration of polarity and how to control that pressure cycling the best; I swear, at around 25 hz or so, the way enclosures need to be is a different type of animal.

If you have super high power and want to tune in the mid 20's, often times a ported box becomes unusable due to port length and the actual 1/4 wave resonance of a super long, high in^2/cube port. Like if you have a 3000w 4" VC woofer, it's very hard to tame a mid to low 20 hz tuning without doing something more advanced that ported.

Single Focal K2 Power E 30 KX 12 ported going in a large sedan. These subs are very well designed; they'd do well in sealed or ported. They'd play really low in a 4th order and sound really good doing it. I like these subs quite a bit; you SQ guys who like some loudness might really like this woofer, IMO.

Anyone: let me know if you'd be interested in trying any of the combo of designs I mentioned above. Sound is limitless, if you have the space. I get tired of people saying this or that doesn't work or doesn't make sense or everything must be by a combination of generalized rules; I know enough about sound, now, that I can raw design enclosure types that don't even have a name that you can research. I can mix a ported box with a horn or make a bandpass all of out passive radiators. This isn't just to be cool; there's very real gains to be made by making enclosures like I've posted above. Full sound control is the aim, and the goals would determine what enclosure would be best. These designs can be literally anyway that people need or want them to be.

This harassment is almost unbelievable. I guess this is how the world works now. People get to make false claims about people who pay to be here and work very hard to engineer subwoofer designs, so people can enjoy their music.

I guess you're not doing it right, if losers don't hate you. Not sure what to say. I mean, I guess it feels good for a hater to be so obsessed over me. That's not my goal, but if my designs are good enough to be hated, or get enough attention to be hated, then hell yeah!!! LOL. Not worried when certain types of people hate what I do; it makes me look better.

I'm about to say shame on the owners of this site for letting people try to ruin my thread, again, over Thunderdome activities. But it really is ok. It's amazing how someone, who is so hateful and despises me, is constantly disliking my customs designs. Why? I'm getting customer after customer, lol. I work hard to get people the best sound I can give them with a design. I love doing it. I guess I've reached the level where haters are popping out of the woodwork. I've finally made it to that level.

Wait until we start doing CNC cut horns

He gets triggered easily. If I didn’t know better I would’ve thought he was a thirteen year old emo girl.

I’m just targeted, apparently. It has to be that I’m a vendor or the only vendor; it’s easy to target the only vendor on a supposed-to-be-moderated-forum-but-not. Nobody else has a thread for losers with personal problems to do their emotional dumping inside of.

I mean, I have strong words, sometimes. But I keep it relevant to the discussion. My idea is that if everyone is happy, then there’s nothing to fight over. I’ll strongly disagree with people about some things- but I’m not going to hurt anything other than feelings, even if that lol. Hating people gets me nowhere. I do hate the actions of some people, but I don’t waste hating people; I’d rather build up my own life.

I do love a good debate, though. It’s a shame that some can’t handle the Thunderdome. I’m always surprised when I have so much power over someone’s emotions. I’m not trying to, lol. Oh well: welcome to internet.
