They just did a great interview with retired Mets pitcher during the game and one of the topics that came up was the new pitching substance rules. He said the only way to make it fair is to not allow batters to use pine tar and batting gloves. He's kinda got a point.

Color me confused but I never see interleague games as being that important during the first half of the season. Entertaining maybe but thats it. The only games important right now are divisional games.

Cross town rivals. When both teams are doing well, it gets serious for the fans. Not so much important as far as standings, but more bragging rights and how you stack up against a team doing well in the other division.

The A's might be moving to Vegas!

Maybe. The city of Oakland has a hearing on it next month. The organization wants to pay for the stadium completely out of their pockets (among other community betterment projects they would also come out of pocket 100% for), but asked the city to fix/ widen the streets and other city improvements around the new stadium site to make it more accessible and more walk up/ public transportation friendly. Oakland has been dragging their feet for 5+ years on the issue, and let's face it, they already lost the Raiders and the Golden State Warriors in the last couple of years.
Because of this, MLB has told the organization to start looking for other states to relocate to. Vegas is one good landing spot because Of the Aviators being their AAA team, but from what I've read, Portland is where the MLB wants them to go after they saw their proposal. Water front stadium
