MLB 2021

I understand your he said she said argument but I’ve been around too long to understand when that doesn’t apply. Red Sox and Yankees were both warned about using electronics, that’s proof it was a known issue bigger than one team. Plus, the people who were blamed for it all came from different organizations right before that year which points to they used what they were taught.

Mike Fiers is a ***** too. He violated every rule of bro code and is still too scared to face the Astros.

Im in the camp of speed the game up. If it’s going to survive long term, they have to make it quicker. Peoples attention spans are so little these days. Honestly, when I played, I never slowed anything down. When I pitched, I worked very fast as it kept me in a groove.
When I pitched, I feel like I was a medium speed worker. I didn't slow the game down, but I didn't work fast either. That's what's beautiful about the game to me, every player has a different approach that works specifically for them. Their swing, the way they throw, the speed in which they work, ect. I love the fact that there's no time limit. Who can score the most before they catch 27 outs. I can only speak for myself though. I feel like today, I'm in the minority.
Now that you mention it, I remember that about the red Sox, not about the Yankees though that doesn't mean it didn't happen. My opinion is there should be no warning. Immediate and swift action with no bias. Just because it doesn't happen that way, doesn't make it ok in my eyes. That's the commissioner's f up.
And, I'll admit just like you did, there's some bias as me being an athletics fan for my whole life, but I feel like Mike fiers did what he had to. I'm no snitch, but if it involves my money (which a pitcher's numbers and success correlates to their next contract, which is their money) you can call me a soprano because I'll be singing like a Jay bird lol. That being said, I never heard any conclusive result to it, but if he is, in fact, proven in that statutory **** case, I hope he gets butt violated in federal pound me in the butt prison for life

I agree. Every player is different and has a different skill set. I can also agree to the swift action. The commissioner continues to f up these situations. MLB waits until it’s too late to do something and then get egg on their face and the entire sport. It’s an endless cycle LOL.

Since I’m an Astros fan, I grew up hating the braves because they bounced us every damn year. I was rooting for them last year and man they had it and just choked. If they can get their pitching in consistent order, they can be deadly.

Don't be naive and think that the players aren't still using PED's. They can do steroids in the off-season and HGH during the season. It takes a blood test to detect HGH. The MLB players union will never agree to blood testing. The steroids didn't make the players better, but it made them stronger. So warning track flyballs turned into homeruns. Plus it made them recover faster from the aches and pains of a 162 game season. Pitchers were using them also.

Thank you Bobby. I had an argument with my buddy before about why PED’s are not ok. His argument was you still have to hit the ball. I don’t disagree with that at all but my argument was you are able to stay healthy during a 162 game season. So when some players need a day or two off, your body is recovered and ready to go. People equate PED’s to pure strength gain aka hitting bombs which is only partly true. There’s been plenty of other players using them that aren’t instantly power hitters. It’s about staying healthy and not worn down.

There have been studies that have shown that steroids improve hand eye coordination and muscle reaction. Depending on what you focus on, they can make you faster, not necessarily stronger. Obviously the benefits, all the benefits on a whole, are a huge deal or it wouldn't be an issue. All I'm saying is cheating is cheating. If it's a banned substance, it's cheating. No matter how many players use it. No matter what they use it for. It's up to the MLB and the players union to do something about it. Whether they will or even want to, that's on them. My personal opinion is I wish they did
